First, the United States is facing a food and nutrition crisis, with rocketing rates of diabetes, hunger, and health disparity. Second, graduate students today\u2014from fields as different as public health, business, information technology, and engineering\u2014want their education to be more hands-on, more interdisciplinary, and more \u201cimpactful\u201d to society at large.
